Here’s the thing about term limits: The only people who can enact that are the people who it will hurt - Congressional members.  It shouldn’t take a genius to understand that ‘Term Limits” will never happen.  And why should they?  IMHO: It’s a stupid move suggested by people who have no idea how to run anything, much less the business of our Federal Government.

If you own a business, think about this: You hire a great employee and he/she is doing a good job.  But, you have to let them go because of a term limit.  Now you have to start all over with a new employee who you don’t know will be good or not.  You wouldn’t want term limits on your business employees - it wouldn’t make sense.  How successful do you think any business would be if the management had to be turned over periodically.  If you think that’s a good idea, either you know nothing about business or you’re an idiot.

That brings me back to term limits for Congressional members.  The correct way to solve the problem is to not vote in morons in the first place.  If voters did the research on the candidates instead of voting for a familiar name, we would have good Representatives and Senators doing a good job. But, alas that isnt how it goes.  People are lazy and too may are too stupid to know the difference. If you want better people in Congress, only you - the voter - can make that happen. If a good one is in office and has to leave due to term limits, how do you know the replacement won’t be a disaster?  IMHO: Terms limits are a stupid idea.

We already have a term limit on President and you see the trouble that’s gotten us into.

Stop casting your vote for the likeable candidates, or by Ethnicity, Race, personality, etc., and research the most qualifed to do the job.  It isn’t easy, but that ’s the answer to good government.
