Take a look at the chart below from the IRS web site.
The income on average over the year for the government is: almost $399 Billion
The monthly debt service is: about $30 Billion
How can the government possibly default on the debt service. IT CAN’T DEFAULT and it WON’T. Just more BS! The Constitution states that the debt service must be paid first. See: Amdt14.S4.1.1 Public Debt Clause. The debt ceiling has nothing to do with debt service. So, all the BS about causing an International economic calamity if we don't raise the debt ceiling is nothing but a lie.
It’s all a lie to get the citizens behind the dishonest Congressional members who want the debt ceiling raised so they can borrow more and more to give away their constitutes, and businesses who will donate to their election funds.
It's also a lie that social security is going broke. SS takes in more than it pays out, They want to raise the SS tax so they lie about it.
The big problem is the give-aways (non-entitlement entitlements) and that is easily solved without increasing the debt.
