Attitude isn't a small thing. It's everything!
Either you control your attitude or it will control you.
Your happiness and success in everything you do depends on it.
Fix your attitude if you want to be happy
Fixing your attitude is very easy, but first you have to realize it needs fixing. If you read the other pages under the heading of ATTITUDE you'll understand how to recogniced your own attitude.
Here's an everyday example of negative attitude:
The other day a friend told me that she contacted her friend to tell her about an event that was coming up that she might be interested in. Her friend told her that she was aware of the event. My friend was upset and told me that she didn't know why she even bothered. She wasn't going to help her friend about anything in the future. That is an example of a negative attitude on the part of my friend.
Someone with a good attitude wouldn't have thought anything of it and continued to be helpful when possible.
Has anyone ever reminded you something and your thought or response to that reminder was: I remember, you don't have to remind me, I'm not stupid? That's negative attitude, whether or not you said it out loud or just think it. The thought or response of someone with a good attitude would have been to thank the person for being thoughtful. You see; your response has nothing to do with what the other person was thinking. Your response was your negative attitude controlling what you 'want' to believe the other person is thinking.
I see it every day all around me. People making negative comments about others because that's what's in their thoughts. These are unhappy people with negative attitudes and they can't hide it. Fact is: you can't hide your attitude. Positive or negative, it shows in everything you do and say.
Stop thinking about negative things. Think about good things. Remember the saying: 'If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all'? Find something nice to think about and your attitude will turn positive. Find something good to say about the situation.
